Statement of James Wek Bol, an intern TOCH South Sudan.

TOCH: Envisioning just, prosperous and peaceful communities.

Sincerely speaking, I got an interest with above organization because of mentioned reasons like

1.      All its programs are in line with my career as community development worker

2.      It Support youth and children where I have passionate and am working in since primary school up to date

3.      Good vision and practices in term of services delivery and management

4.      Its success stories like youth centre in Warrap town, Kuajok mix secondary school, Tonj east health centre buildings and successfully conferences in greater Warrap state.

5.      Committed practice of transparency and accountability as its core values

6.      Finally, one of the actor promoting gender equality and prevention of GBV issues cross South Sudan

Thank a lot to TOCH; I can honestly say that my time spent interning with TOCH resulted in one of the best summers of my life. For example my two memorable days, Joseph Nyok and I were recommended for a 3days workshop on localization of protection at UNHCR compound Juba as my first time in life and also representative of TOCH during GBV hosting regional Director and Country representative at Regency Hotel Juba.

As I was assign to department of programme which exposure me  to meet many experience people and organization specialists such National organizations, International organizations, UN agencies Donors and Government officials related to the field I was working in. Additionally, I felt like I was able to contribute to the organization by assisting and working on extra assign work out my roles and responsibilities throughout the summer. For example, I assisted office and logistic work.

Overall, my internship at TOCH South Sudan has been a success. I was able to gain practical skills, work in a friendly environment, and make connections that will last a lifetime. I could not be more thankful.
