Welcome to TOCH
The Organization for Children’s Harmony (TOCH) was founded in 2008 when a group of concerned South Sudanese youth met to exchange their insights on pressing issues such as violations of children’s rights, communal fights (inter-clan and tribal conflicts), high rate of illiteracy, lack of educational opportunities for children, insecurity due to availability of guns/small arms within the hands of civilians, poverty, harmful traditional practices, influx of children into street in urban areas, gender-based violence among others which were facing South Sudanese especially children, youth and women. In 2018, TOCH started its presence in Uganda to support the refugees from South Sudan and it has been fully registered as a child led non-governmental organization with the government of Uganda though NGOs Board.

Child Protection, Rights & GBV Advocacy
Child protection ensures the safety, well-being, and dignity of every child, shielding them from abuse, exploitation, and neglect. Child rights advocacy promotes access to education, healthcare, and a safe environment for all children to thrive. Gender-Based Violence (GBV) advocacy works to prevent and respond to violence against women, girls, and vulnerable groups, fostering equality and justice. Together, these efforts build safer communities and a future where everyone is protected and empowered.
Education and Life Skills
Education equips individuals with knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, opening doors to opportunities and personal growth. Life skills—such as communication, leadership, financial literacy, and resilience—enable individuals to navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and contribute meaningfully to society. Together, they empower people to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Peace Building, Economic Development & FSL
Peacebuilding fosters reconciliation, social cohesion, and conflict resolution, creating a stable environment for communities to thrive. Food security ensures that all people have access to sufficient, nutritious food, reducing hunger and promoting health. Economic development drives job creation, infrastructure growth, and sustainable livelihoods, empowering individuals and strengthening communities. Together, these pillars form the foundation for a resilient and prosperous society.
