TOCH SOUTH SUDAN in partnership with Norwegian church-aid(NCA) participated in a 3 days needs -assessment in Mayen Gumel,Kuac North,Kuajok,Warrap State among the IDPs and host communities in categories of women,men and children on behalf of United Nations(UN) to look for solutions for internal displacements globally
The high level panel was established by the United Nations to seek recommendations from the IDPs to support the government and humanitarian organisations on how to effectively respond to displacements in emergencies,life saving assistance ,recovery and ensure that the voices of IDPs are heard in high level decision making
The internally displaced people(Idps) who sort refuge in Mayen Gumel of Kuac North,Kuajok,Warrap State were displaced from Abyei due to the prolonged internal and external conflicts in Abyei
when a group of concerned youths came together to discuss the rise of communal violence and subsequent insecurity issues affecting children, youth and women in 2008, TOCH was formed.
